Lyman Lake at Carleton College. It was an interesting morning, shifting between being really pretty, and snowing. At one point there was really fine snow falling at the same time that the sun was out, and the air was sparkling everywhere. Northfield, Minnesota. Taken 1.13.13.

So apparently the 'photo-a-day' thing was over zealous. The truth is, I simply don't have time to take photos everyday. So, the theme of this journal will shift a bit. I'll still go out on weekends, but then I'll post photos from that day until the next time I get out. If I run out of good ones, I'll put up older ones instead. It'll end up being some sort of combination of new material and old memories, probably.

Back in Minnesota for the winter! It was a lovely morning despite massive amounts of jetlag- 12 degrees F and cloudy. Northfield, Minnesota. Taken 1.3.13.

I was sick all of yesterday, and so lacked the will to either take photographs or post things. So have another loco! 3835 class 0-6-0 No. 43924 in the yard at Haworth Station on the KWVR. An interesting historical note- this was actually the first loco to be rescued from a scrapyard in Britain. Haworth, West Yorkshire. Taken 12.26.12.
