Pump

A massive steam-driven wheel that seemed to be operating some sort of pump. We never did work out precisely what it was doing. Threshing Show, Adams, TN. Taken 7.17.15.

Engine

There were a bunch of stationary steam engines, that basically just spin a wheel around. You can hook a belt around them that then turns wheels on a machine (like a thresher). TN-KY Threshermen Association Threshing Show, Adams, TN. Taken 7.17.15.

Twin

There are actually a pair of these massive arches in a row- they're called the twin arches, fittingly enough. Arches like these are formed from sandstone that is left behind when less durable rock is eroded away. Big South Fork, TN. Taken 7.16.15.
